RAISO is a Northwestern student organization centered around AI, Ethics, and CTech
We believe that as the world is evermore shaped by data and automation, it is those with the most to learn, and most to be effected, that should have the most impact.
We founded RAISO because we believe that computers shouldn't be blind to black faces, hire or fire you because of your sex, or keep you in jail because of the color of your skin.
We value technology - we think the best way to prepare for a more automated world is to educate, talk about, and empower those that stand to be affected most.
After all, data is our history, and our history isn't perfect.
We do this through our newsletter, Hold the code, which is a technical newsletter so easy to read, you don't need an engineering degree to understand it.
We also do this through speakers and firesides; industry, research, and tech-ethics professionals talk about their work and why it matters.
Finally, our community of members and mentors give career advice, and exclusive opportunities in work in technology, and social impact.
If that sounds good to you, contact to join or partner with us. Contact
There is no application process to join if you are an NU student.
